The Kieler Yacht-Club is host to many high-class regattas. These include regular competitions for young top sailors in dinghy classes as well as experienced yacht crews, but also World Championships or European Championships of many classes. While the race organization on the water is in the capable hands of a large circle of volunteers, our subsidiary Point of Sailing GmbH takes care of the marketing for the purposes of the sponsors.

Together with our partner clubs NRV, HSC and VSaW we are also hosts of the Kieler Woche, which takes place for over 130 years now. As one of the biggest sailing events in the world it attracts more than 3,000 sailors and also more than 3 million visitors to the city of Kiel.

On the sporting side, our sailors were successful in many classes, boat sizes and ages for decades. The KYC trains in its Youth- and Regatta Group young sailors from the age of six years and develops their potential in cooperation with the national association and the German Sailing Association to the top.
