Since 1998, Kieler Yacht-Club and the Royal Danish Yacht Club (KDY) are organising this popular long-distance regatta. It is designed for offshore yachts over 36ft. After starting on the Inner Kiel Fjord the race will lead through the Great Belt rounding Zealand northerly with finishing in Oresund north of Copenhagen. In 2010 yachts will be berthed in the Tuborg harbour in front of the new and elegant clubhouse of KDY. The 24 hours break can then be used for sightseeing and shopping in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Family members that are not sailing are still heartly welcome as tourists. On Saturday morning we will be leaving Copenhagen passing Gedser southerly to sail back home to Kiel.
